Air X Marine Wind Generator 12 Volts
Long Term Test (started March 2004)
In March 2004 we took 2 identically constructed models of Air X Marine (Southwest Windpower USA) in the Caribbean on a catamaran into a continuous test, which will probably take several years and from which we will continuously report.
2 identically constructed Air X Marine because no manufacturer can exclude that with an individual device during production once a defect may occur.
If one has only 1 test Air X Marine, the test could fail negatively, if by a defect on an individual device a conclusion is drawn on the total series.
If one has against it 2 identical test Air X Marines on identical test conditions, one can draw a conclusion in the case of a defect on device 1 only then on the total series, even if this defect occurs at device 2 in similar way.
Southwest Windpower the USA sold to today according to own particulars nearly 70,000 units of the Air Marine. The newest model Air X Marine is supplied for 12 to 48 V. We test in each case 12 V models.
Test body:
Apart from the 2 new Air X Marine 2 further Air Marine 303 (one of them upgraded to Air Marine 403) with varying blades was available, so that in the first test series 4 devices were tested against each other.
